Who is the stupid person in the cartoon?


Stupid person is not in the picture. The cigar smoking expensive suit got bailed out by those who are not in the cartoon, and the dude signing the paper lived rent free for a few months.

Hi, Oil Shock. I am a peak believer, or at least peak oil risk believer, too. I actually think it's a good thing we have the global economic downturn or we could have been headed into an oil depletion crisis. We may still be on our way.

Peak Oil is real, 1300% rise in oil's price has failed to increase global supplies. That says a lot. You are right that this crisis might buy us some time.

But I am an optimist regarding peak oil. Because world is not a closed system. Earth receives several billion times the energy we use on a daily basis. All energy, including the one from fossil fuel is originally derived from sunlight.
